Blue 13 to Serve Family-Style Sunday Suppers Starting March 1, 2009
At a Price Even Mom Would Like

Popular River North eatery, Blue 13 is cooking up Sunday suppers with a Rock n’ Roll vibe starting March 1, 2009. Restaurant owner, Chef Chris Curren (29) will be offering family-style suppers with a twist, for only $20 per person. All are welcome to come and pass around their plate.

The seasonal menu will change every Sunday and focus around a protein such as free range Amish chicken, local pork, beef or lamb, or an in season fish. They will be accompanied by two to three sides, a salad and, of course, a freshly baked dessert. Sounds better than going home, unless your mom is a chef.

Chef Curren always loved his mom’s Sunday suppers, growing up in Cleveland. He never knew
who would stop by for dinner and hopes to recreate that feeling at Blue 13.

There will be seating any time starting at 5pm until the kitchen closes at 9pm, so reservations are recommended. A fun way to enjoy a Sunday evening with your extended family, or maybe pay mom back for all the Sunday suppers she cooked for you.

Blue 13, which opened at 416 W Ontario last summer, was conceived out of Curren and business partner Dan Marunowski’s passion for excellent food and Rock & Roll music. The resulting concept is a chic space with brick walls, sleek dark wood, sexy banquettes and edgy vintage tattoo art. The mood is friendly and the play list is only rivaled by nearby clubs.
